(sortof) Tomorrow morning I am getting my wisdom teeth pulled! I am actually very excited because I will get some sleep. And thats one thing that I am desperately in need of! :-)
The GNOM team came down this past week. It was awesome... the entire team was such an encouragement to me. We had the wonderful priviledge of housing the DeGroff family. We went to UCO a couple of times and had a lot of outreach in Guthrie, which was amazing. Please be praying for the team.

I hope and pray that everybody out there in the world of blogging is doing well. My days have been incredibly busy with school and work and the only down time I have is usually at 3:32am, when my alarms goes off.
I wanted to say thank you for all of my prayers for my foot, its doing great. Running on it again and I have a more balance diet, which I think is helping it out a lot more.
This weekend is going to be so much fun... I have a 12k race on saturday morning and my grandparents from Kansas are coming down to visit us for my brother's and I birthday. I'll be 19 on the 8th! Stephen will be 22 on the 10th!
I mentioned in my last post about the GNOM III team. They will be here next monday (11th), please be in prayer for their safety to Guthrie and the work that is done and the Word that is handed out.

Over a week now I had been having some terrible shots of pain in my foot. I went to the doctor on friday morning and had an x-ray. They did not see anything in the x-ray, so they assumed it was a hair-line fracture... because of the external symptoms. Here's the thing... they told me that I had to wear it for 2-3 week... but the Tulsa Run (15k) is on October 27th. Please pray that my foot will get to looking better because it has been a dream of mine to run in the Tulsa Run. Anyways... I know it sounds weird to be praying for "Heather's Foot", but its pretty bad.
School is awesome! I am finishing up my classes early for the week because spring break is this Thursday - Sunday!
Mel and I were assigned photographers in our cousin's wedding this Saturday. Please pray that the Lord will give melissa and I the wisdom to take the right pictures. And patience for me this weekend!
In everything give thanks to the Lord!

5 Things that I am thankful for...
1. My family. Even when I am having a bad day, they always are so caring no matter that the circumstances.
2. My job. My current job, working at a law firm, has been such a blessing to me. I will be quitting at the end of November and I dont want to... at all. But, I did get an intern at a PT office for the spring, which I am so excited about!
3. School. Yes, I said it... school. I am so thankful for all of my profesors this semester. No matter how stressed out I get... they have been very receptive to emails, phone calls, etc. All of them really have a heart for their students and its very encouraging to me!
4. The ability to run. Even though, this might seem silly... running to me is a very big part of my life now. When I run/bike, I take a note card with me (that has a bible passage on it) and try to memorize/meditate on a His Word.
5. A bed to sleep in (certainly not number 5 because its the least important). I dont realize how privileged I am to actually have a nice bed to sleep in. SO many people out there dont even have a bed. But the Lord is SOO good and faithful, He has provided everything I need.
I don't thank the Lord enough for everything He has provided. To God be the glory great things He hath done!!!

The GNOM team will be in Guthrie, Oklahoma November 11-16. I have been praying about this effort for a long time now and I just pray that I will be able to get off work and help out with the team.
Please also be in prayer for my family.
Sometimes I feel like I dont say the right things. What I mean is that... when I talk to people, I sometimes forgot that wonderful old saying "think before you speak". I am someone who loves to talk and loves to talk a lot. But, please pray that everytime I talk to someone I think everytime I speak. (I have just been having some troubles with saying something and taking it back... because it came out the wrong way!... talk about frustration!) I am bringing this up, because I think that I might have lost a friendship over something. My Sarcasm. I do like to be funny... but, I forget that a lot of people dont get it. And then when I say "Im sorry" or "Just kidding" they still don't believe me.

3 months left!!
I know, I know... i'm already counting down. At the beginning of the semester I was praying that I would not be so stressed out with school and work (because that is how I usually am). But, the Lord has just given me a peace about everything. The Lord has been working out my emotional problems and friendships! He is so good.
Now since I am in the groove of school I have a better idea of what the day is going to bring. (time wise) And since I am so schedule-oriented I needed something that I could stick with!
Oh yeah... last weekend I ran in a 5k and got first in my age division and 38th overall (there were a little over 300 runners!)!! Its was so exciting and I got a medal.
At 5am 2 days a week I am running a little over 5 miles with some moms and that has been a blast!
I appreciate your prayers...
The Lord is so good!!
I am going to post some new pictures soon...

I had an amazing chat with my A & P professor this morning and it was so encouraging. I was able to tell her what I wanted to do in my life, what goals I have and in the end was able to share my testimony with her. We both cried and talked about it. She shared with me her faith and it was just so encouraging! I think that the Lord really showed me a lot today.
His mercies are new everyday... thats for sure... but recently (to me) that has been even more obvious than before --- even if I dont think so at first. Its hard incredibly hard to fathom how wonderful my family is to me. They are always there for me, looking out for me and willing to help me with everything I want to pursure *deep breath*.
I like this guy a lot, but I dont know what to do about it. (end of story)
---advice is welcome---

- I keep beating my time, so I just pray that I can continue to keep doing that! I have a 5k every weekend this month (and september) and if im up to it I have a half-marathon the 22nd of September! I want to race in it so bad... but, today I was reminded that I have even a more powerful race set before me. I need to keep running my race with endurance for the glory of God. Before I run each morning or every race I thank the Lord for giving me this amazing ability to run.
- Please be praying for me this week... I know it will be a tough one. I am taking 16 hours and working about 20 a week. Just be in prayer that the Lord will keep me focused on Him and only Him!
Thats all Folks...

The Lord has really working in my life and I just thought I would write some thought down.
- I went to the Wichita Conference last weekend and Jonathan Brower brought powerful and convicting messages before us that weekend. He focused on the book of Ecclesiastes. I had, honestly, not ever read that book so it was good to read from it, now im studying it. All of my thoughts last weekend were "Man, I have way too much". Thats all I could think of, and it was really frustrating. I have an amazing job... that really provides more than I could ever ask for. Im an 18 year old girl that only has her mind set on 2 things. The first... trying to glorify my God, and Savior more and more. But... that seems to get harder. The second... becoming a nurse. I want to be able to work with kids in the Medical field, and I know that whenever I am around kids I feel better about myself.
- Another thing... these past couple of weeks I have realized how much I love kids. I was babysitting last night and one of the kids, Georgia (she is 8) asked me "Heather, who made God?" I told her that God has always been there and asked her if she knew who God's son was and she answered correctly "Jesus". I love this little girl to death, I would do anything for her... or for any kid for that matter. They are just so interested in everything and always to know more. It was just so encouring to talk to this little child our God! He is so amazing... never failing.
So many times I think that I am such a retard for wanting to hang out with kids more that people my own age... is that weird? Maybe kids listen better... I dont know. Its just been a confusing week, but the Lord is good, as always.
Have a race tomorrow morning... it should be fun, wish me luck!!
Just be praying for me... school and work are going to be tough.

Okay, So I will try and make this fun and interesting.. haha.
This school year is probably going to be a very hectic and crazy year. But, I know that if I trust in the Lord, He will direct my paths!
I am taking 15 hours this semester and will be working 20hours a week at the firm and 16hours at a nursing home on the weekends.
I am applying for an RN and LPN program. I really want to get into the RN program, but I wont even have a clue until November.

I was reminded yesterday of 2 very important things:
The first thing was a reminder of how wonderful my job is. Recently, I feel like im not doing something right. In school, work or even with my friendships... I just think of everything I am failing in. Its not healthy. But, yesterday, I had a good conversation with one of the attorneys in the firm and just saying how thankful she (and the whole firm) was to have me be apart of their practice. After I heard that, it really made me praise Jesus, I just had a huge rush of excitement.
The next thing was... How much of a terrible sinner I am. I was on the phone with a good friend last night and when he called I was reading the book of James when he asked what I was reading about, I told his I was in chapter 3 reading about the "tongue". It was so convicting. We have it all so good, if we are Christians. Even if we sin, the Lord forgives us and it is so wonderful to be reminded of that. We (especially me) can get so carried away with telling just little white lies or talking about someone. Or even just thinking about something mean. Actions do speak louder than words.
Anyways... I just wanted to write and type. Plus, trial is over so its going to be a slow week at the office! But, thats all good! :)

Recently I have been studying the book of 1 Corinthians. I would like to share what the Lord has been teaching me.
I started reading the book a couple of weeks ago, and once I read through the entire book, I just went through verse by verse and really took a look at what it meant.
Last Sunday, during our Sunday School hour Dan Vreeland spoke briefly from 1 Corinthians and it really helped me understand it. And then Dad talked from it tonight after prayer meeting.
One verse that has always jumped out to me is...
- 1:30-31 - "It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God -that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. Therefore, as it is written: "Let him who boasts (glories), boasts (glories) in the Lord"
Talk about being Humble... something I, especially, need to work on.
- 3:16-21 - "Dont you know that you yourselve are God's Temple and that Gods spirit lives in you? If anyone destroys Gods temple, God will destroy him; for Gods temple is sacred, and you (we) are that temple. Don note deceive yourselves, if anyone of you thinks he is wise by the standards of this age, he should become a fool so that he may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in GOds sight. As it is written: "He catches the wise in their craftiness", and again "The Lrod knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile." So then, no more boasting about men! All things are yours."
We are Gods temple in everyhing we do, we need to honor and glorify Him. No matter what it takes. Our God has given up His entire life for me, the Least I can do is give Him everything I have.
Sarah has an Feis up there all day Sunday, so we will get to spend the day Saturday and Friday enjoying God's wonderful creation in Colorado!!
Mom has a long drive set before her, so please be praying that the Lord will give her the strength to drive. But... I guess I could drive! :)

Yesterday I registered for my very first 5k Race!
I have been training for it for over 3 weeks now and its not till the 27th. Running on average 4-5 miles a day. Its called a midnight streak, so the actually race doesnt even start untill 11pm!
I have been so blessed that the Lord has held up the rain when I run. I run after work (around 5pm) and its hot outside.... but, i'd rather it be really hot than raining I guess!
